A large new CP project

Phase two of the high-grade CHIA TAI CONTI Group production line, with a capacity of 360,000 t of livestock and poultry feed in Yangjiang, built by Zheng Chang Group, the leading Chinese feed machinery brand, has recently been officially completed.

CHIA TAI CONTI Group is a large international company in advanced agriculture and animal husbandry, jointly established by the CP Group and Continental Grain. It was founded in Shenzhen in 1981 as the first foreign-invested company in China. The aim of a large-scale livestock and poultry feed base in Yangjiang is to expand into rich, developed areas such as Maoming, Zhanjiang, Guangxi and Hainan, consolidating its competitive advantage in the market.

This is not easy, given the many well-known domestic and foreign feed companies. The market’s high overall capacity, product quality and brand influence pose a serious challenge for CHIA TAI CONTI Group, which has therefore set higher requirements for the production and quality of its feed mill equipment.

At the start of the project, Zheng Chang deployed many experienced installation and construction engineers and worked closely with CHIA TAI CONTI Group. With professional quality and tireless work on equipment installation and layout, the Zheng Chang team successfully completed the 360,000 t/year feed project in just 5.5 months.

Advanced processing technology and equipment, more choices and higher capacity

The project uses grinding–mixing technology for livestock and poultry feed. Four SFSP112*60F hammer mills are used in the grinding section, and the main machines of the batching section are three twin-shaft mixers  3SSHJ5s. With 48 batching bins, customers have more batching options. A premix bin and batching scale are also installed, so premixes and additives can be added more accurately, mixing is more precise, unnecessary losses are reduced and capacity is significantly increased.

Many production lines for diverse needs

There are seven lines in total: five pelleting lines, one expanding line and one corn extrusion line. By product, there are 2 crumbled poultry feed lines, 4 pig feed lines and 1 extruded corn line, fully meeting diverse production needs.

Use high-quality equipment to increase capacity

All the main machines, such as the SPZL338 expander and SPHG5000c extruder, use automatic control. The finished product packing section uses the double-bucket packing scale  SDBY-P(s), together with liquid and steam addition systems. All of these high-quality products ensure increased capacity.

Smart automatic control, easier and more efficient

The project uses automatic control for batching, storage, pelleting and packing, sharply reducing labour costs and clearly collecting all feed mill data, which is useful for data management and strategy.
