Hammer mills, pellet mills and extruders are the most common machines in livestock, poultry and aquaculture feed mills, and their output directly determines production efficiency and productivity. Many factors affect the output of feed processing equipment. Besides equipment assembly, troubleshooting and maintenance during operation, the main aspects are as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several factors that cause low pellet mill output:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1. Die<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The surface of the die hole entrance is worn and needs repair (the chamfer should be re-cut).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Choosing the wrong die compression ratio is one of the main causes of low output. Suitable compression ratios are: livestock and poultry feed 9\u201313, fish feed 12\u201315, shrimp feed 20\u201325, heat-sensitive feed 5\u20139, grass, forage and straw feed 6\u20139.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die holes are blocked. Clear blocked holes from the outside in to remove impurities; the fewer open holes, the lower the output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Roller and roller shell<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The roller shell is worn and must be replaced in time. Combining a new die with an old roller shell, or a new shell with an old die, can lead to low output. A new die should be used with a new roller shell so that the contact gap between roller and die is consistent and wear is even.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Conditioner paddles<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Paddle wear can affect conditioning, causing poor mixing and steam absorption. The material is not properly softened, which affects pellet dispersion and output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conditioner temperature should not be too low. Suitable ranges: livestock and poultry feed 70\u201388 \u00b0C, fish feed 82\u201395 \u00b0C, shrimp feed 90\u2013105 \u00b0C, heat-sensitive feed 45\u201369 \u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Steam quality<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Cylinder steam pressure should be above 0.6 MPa, steam pressure after reduction should be 0.1\u20130.3 MPa, and the steam trap must work normally to ensure the steam is saturated without condensing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Whether the dust removal solenoid valve pulses normally or the bag hopper is blocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The dust removal fan configuration or direction is wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The gap between hammers and screen is unsuitable, or the hammers are worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The screen holes are not positioned correctly and the open area is too low.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The main shaft is worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The extrusion barrel is worn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The pressure ring and wear ring are worn. Worn parts must be replaced in time; a worn large pressure ring can be used in place of a small one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> Customers want extruded soybean with low urease activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The soybean is coarsely ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> The V-belt is relatively loose and should be checked in time; if the belt is worn, the whole belt set must be replaced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022<\/strong> If the conditioner steam quality is poor, the steam quality and the drainage of the steam pipeline should be checked immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
